Development of various kinds of physical and cyber technology
is creating a multitude of challenges to industries around the globe.
How to bring in all stakeholders and enable industry to embrace digital
transformation has become one of the government's most important agenda
in recent years.
For this reason, Taiwan Institute of Economic Research (TIER), teaming
up with Chung-Hua Institution for Economic Research (CIER) and Industrial
Technology Research Institute (ITRI), is setting “Digital Transformation
of Industry: Policy Governance and Industry Alliance” as the theme of
International Conference on Industrial Technology Innovation (ICITI) 2019
conference.
The conference invites policy and industrial technology experts from
Europe, Japan, Korea and Taiwan to share their policy-planning and -implementation
experiences in relation to industrial digital transformation.
The number of audience is about 100, primarily made of government officials,
RTO experts, think-tank policy researchers, industrial association representatives.
By doing so, we hope this invited-only event can serve as an international
dialogue platform where all the participants can learn from each other,
improve their respective strategy for digital transformation of industry,
and facilitate the exploration of cooperation opportunity in near future.
TIER organizes International Conference on Industrial Technology Innovation(ICITI)
once a year since year 2000. Over the last 20 years, with the continuous
support from Department of Industrial Technology (DOIT) under the Ministry
of Economic Affairs (MOEA), this conference builds up its international
reputation and connections, and has become one of the most important event
of its kind.
