Continuing development of technologies changes not only the landscape
of industrial competition, but also many aspects of our social and economic
life. Consequently could those technologies have great potential to bring
about transformation to the industry and help overcome multiple global
        societal challenges.
Under the megatrend of digital transformation, bringing in all stakeholders
to formulate global RDI and IP strategy, and to cooperate across national
boundaries has become one of the government's most important innovation
        policy agenda in recent years.
For this reason, under the guidance of Department of Industrial Technology
(DOIT) of the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Taiwan Institute of Economic
Research (TIER), teaming up with Industrial Technology Research Institute
(ITRI), sets "Digital Innovation for Global Societal Challenges &
Wellbeing” as the theme of ICITI 2021.
ICITI 2021 invites leaders and experts in innovation policy, IP strategy
and industrial technology from Europe and Taiwan to share their views
and experiences in strategies, measures and proposals for international
cooperation in smart-mobility and smart-healthcare areas.
With this in mind, this invited-only conference would serve as a EU-Taiwan
platform where policy makers, technology experts and industrial practitioners
can exchange views, deepen the bilateral innovation partnership, and facilitate
more cooperations in the near future.
