The 25th International Conference
on Industrial Technology Innovation (ICITI, 2024)
National Innovation Agency's approaches to foster disruptive innovation |
In an era of rapid technological advancement, the challenge of leveraging Science, Technology, and Innovation (STI) policies and research institutions to encourage scientific breakthroughs, foster startup growth, and drive systemic transformation has become a key concern for many countries. Faced with multiple global challenges, governments around the world are continually increasing their investment in STI activities and enhancing their policy impact, while emphasizing the importance of cross-disciplinary and international collaboration.
Against this backdrop, under the guidance of the Department of Industrial Technology of the Ministry of Economic Affairs, the Taiwan Institute of Economic Research hosts this two-day conference, focusing on two key agendas: how to strengthen the impact of STI policies and how to encourage the growth of science-based startups. Experts from Finland, Germany, the Netherlands, Sweden, the UK, and Taiwan will share their experiences in policy design and implementation.
We hope this conference will serve as a platform for policy learning and dialogue, where we can exchange perspectives and improve policy design and implementation for the future.
